Extravadance @ Ultimate Kids for Preschoolers

This year you can register for the the Extravadance at Ultimate Kids Program in your Ultimate Kids account portal!

Extravadance has been offering quality dance programming for students in the Triad for over 30 years. For preschoolers, the program offers various entry level classes that explore music, movement, and dance fundamentals in an exciting, fun way.

Some Dance Classes are year round and run from now through May 2025.

Others are in multiple 8 and 12 week sessions throughout the year. The schedule for these sessions is as follows:

  • Session 1 Sept 3-Oct 22 (Recital optional)
  • Session 2 Oct 29-Dec 17, skipping Thanksgiving week (Recital optional)
  • Session 3 Jan 7-Feb 25 (Recital optional)
  • Session 4 Mar 4- May 31 (Must attend this session to participate in recital)
Check the descriptions below and choose the best schedule for your child. For classes with multiple sessions, register for the first (Sept 3 - Oct 22) session now and look for subsequent session registration to be live soon.

Dancenastics Combo Class
Ages 3 - 5

This special class at Ultimate Kids that combines 30 minutes of Gymnastics and 30 minutes of Dance in one fun class. It's a great way to introduce your child to both disciplines! Dancenastics class session runs through May of 2025 and these students will participate in the Spring Dance Recital.

Glitter Babies Class
Ages 3 - 4

Glitter Babies introduces Ballet, Tap, and Tumbling. This class is available in 8 or 12 week sessions. The 8-week classes ar non-recital. Students in 12-week classes will participate in Spring Recital. See more details in the class descriptions below.

Preschool Dance Dress Code

Tiny Twinklers:
Girls – leotard or comfortable work out type clothing
Boys – sweatpants, shorts, t-shirt (also work out type, comfortable clothing)
All children go barefoot but may wear ballet shoes for the creative movement if they wish.

Ages 3-4 and 5-6 Combo Classes including Preschool Dancenastics: black patent tap shoes, pink ballet shoes, any kind or color of dance wear, tights are not required in the warm weather but children need to wear thin socks with their shoes if they opt for no tights!!

Hip Hop: Athletic shoes, work out attire, sweat pants, etc.
